If you are interested in snagging an AR platform in a larger caliber, I would definitely check out the brands below. They make some great stuff:
- Bravo Company
- Daniel Defense (I have one in 5.56 and it is one of the nicest rifles out of the box I've ever seen)
- Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF)
- JP Enterprises (mainly catered to the competition world, but man do they make some really well engineered rifles)

- Spike's Tactical (been around a long time and I believe they are based out of Apopka, FL)
- Palmetto State Armory (haven't had too much experience with their stuff, but they seem to be popular if you're not trying to break the bank)
