General Medicare

Medicare Gap/Supplement Insurance

• One Shot - changing providers requires a physical after first plan
• G-Plan (covers all except Part b deductible - $268/year)

  • All G plans are EXACTLY the same features (premiums differ)
  • Covers any location
• N-Plan (covers same as G except for possible 15% upcharge)

  • Know if my state allows 15% up charge
  • Covers any location
• Medicare and gap insurance does not cover prescription, vision, dental or hearing

  • Need a separate 'Plan B' plan to cover this
  • Could be CIGNA, Aflac, Blue Cross (check for providers online)

Medicare Advantage

• Medicare Advantage is like a PPO with a network - geographically limited (NO GO)

  • Not every Dr. will take Medicare Advantage
